One of the biggest travesties of our day is that we have a government, led by the Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives and the Democrats in the U.S. Senate that have lost their minds and don't give a flip about the people they are supposed to represent. I mean really, give me a break, they sit around bloviating while the price of gas continues to rise and rise. And her we sit, on plenty of oil to make America self-sufficient for its energy needs.
The Democrats in Congress however don't see it that way. They continue to bury there heads in the sand, led by their environmentalist whacko friends who don't have a clue what to do to get us out of the mess we are in. When are the American people going to wake up? When will we start caring about each other instead of just ourselves? "What's in it for me?" "I need a hand-out" is what Democrats think they hear.
But let's be clear, here's the message we need to send to Congress: "Start thinking with your head and take care of your own people!" Alternative fuels are fine but they are nowhere ready to take the place of oil. If the Democrats don't wake up to this fact very soon they should be tossed out just as quickly as they came in.
And to our Republican friends, the same message - why aren't you shouting this from the housetops??? This is a winning message in the fall. Make a second Contract With America and keep your word this time!
