As much as would hate to see Barack Obama as our next president, for a long list of reasons, not the least of which is his support for infantacide, my support is wavering for a politician that would throw out a whacky plan like buying back people's mortgages in the last month of his campaign.
Oh sure, I will vote for McCain, because the alternative is much, much worse. But honestly, he is not the man would should be running this country and he is irresponsible for suggesting that government is the solution. There are many, many politicians in Washington, and even around the world, who are trying to "fix the problem." The thing they ALL don't seem to understand is that what they are trying to fix is not the problem, how we got there is the real problem!
Home prices falling IS NOT THE PROBLEM. Over-inflated home prices IS THE PROBLEM.
Lack of home loans IS NOT THE PROBLEM. No prudence when giving out loans to people who could not ever afford them IS THE PROBLEM.
Market confidence IS NOT THE PROBLEM. Trading sub-prime loans on the open market like they were conventional loans IS THE PROBLEM.
So let's use some common sense, the REAL problems have to be corrected before things can return to normal. And no amount of government intervention will fix the real problems, they must correct in the free and open market or they will continue to fester and bleed.
